NOTE: I have received several requests and I am trying to reach everyone! I need you to re-submit directly to my email specialhandsjewelry@yahoo.com as I am not getting return information from anyone. Please provide emails, phone number, or whatever you contact info so I can get back with each of you. Thank you!! For years I've loved making jewelry. It's truly a gift that I've been able to do this despite being born with a congenital birth defect. I was born with arms that are about half the length of a 'normal' person's arms. On my right hand, I have one finger, and on my left hand I have four. No one knows why I was born this way: to me, it just the Lord's way of creating one of His "special" miracles. Knowing that He made me with a purpose, I've been able to overcome just about everything in my lifepath so far. I was raised in a good, loving family. My mother always encouraged me to try to do things myself before I asked others for help, and I think that has made such a difference. She took care to make sure I had a little special schooling in my early years to help me learn how to use what I was given. However, I made some bad choices along the line, which included relationships with abusive men. It took me a long time to realize that I had low self-esteem from being different and I really didn't think I could make it on my own. But now, for the first time, I am living in my own apartment and going to school for medical billing. To help make ends meet, I am returning to something I have always love: making jewelry. I realize now that all of us have struggles in this life, and I'm proud that I have come as far as I have. I hope that if you like my jewelry and are touched by my story, that you'll help me out by spreading the word about Special Hands Jewelry: beautifully made by special hands. God Bless you!!
